Philippe Coutinho joins Santos until the end of the season

Philippe Coutinho has changed clubs in Brazil after joining Santos until the end of the season.

The former Liverpool and Aston Villa man returned to his home country in 2024 when he joined Vasco da Gama on an initial loan from the Villans.

Coutinho later joined Vasco on a permanent basis before leaving early in the 2026 season after just seven appearances due to being 'tired mentally'.

Now the 34-year-old is back and has signed for Santos until the end of the season where he will join Brazilian star Neymar as well as another ex Red, Arthur Melo.

Santos are currently 10th in the Brasileirão Série A and are next in action in the Copa Sudamericana quarter-final second leg where they have a 2-0 lead over fellow Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro.
