Vasco have received R$ 65 million from a R$ 150 million DIP loan, with funds arriving on the eve of a decisive Copa Sul-Americana meeting with Santa Fe at São Januário on Tuesday.

According to Globo.com, the club’s SAF scheduled a series of payments on Monday after the loan was cleared late last week following court hurdles.

Immediate obligations include paying creditors under the Recuperação Judicial, where instalments were overdue, and settling collective plan commitments at the Câmara Nacional de Resolução de Disputas. The money also covers transfer instalments, the wage bill and other football outgoings.

The financing was contracted with Almirante Participações e Empreendimentos S.A., a company of Marcos Faria Lamacchia, whose offer was deemed the most advantageous in the investor search.

Beyond this package, further borrowing is planned through 2026, with at least another R$ 50 million expected to balance accounts by the end of this season. Kick-off against Santa Fe is at 19:00 Brasília time, with Vasco chasing a first semi-final since 2011.
