Rosario Central host Corinthians on Thursday, the first leg of the last 16 kicking off at 21:30 at the Gigante de Arroyito, with Andrés Matonte of Uruguay in charge and compatriot Christian Ferreyra on VAR, live on Fox Sports.
The hosts will look to make home advantage count before travelling to Brazil for the return on Thursday 20 at the Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
Rosario reached this stage by finishing second in Group H with 13 points, level with Independiente de Medellín who topped the section on goals scored, ahead of Universidad Central de Venezuela and Libertad of Paraguay.
Corinthians advanced as Group E winners with 11 points, finishing above Platense, Independiente Santa Fe of Colombia and Peñarol.
In domestic action, Rosario sit eighth with seven points in Zona B of the Torneo Clausura after two wins, one draw and two defeats, and beat Aldosivi 2-1 in their last outing through Jáminton Campaz and a Nicolás Zalazar own goal.
The São Paulo side are seventh in the Brasileirao with 32 points, recording eight wins, eight draws and six defeats, and most recently defeated Red Bull Bragantino 2-0 thanks to Rodrigo Garro and Pedro Raúl.
In recent days the club confirmed the non-renewal of Dutch forward Memphis Depay for financial reasons, and he has accused the board of failing to honour an agreement to extend his deal, threatening legal action.
