With the transfer window shut, Rui Costa has turned to contract renewals at Benfica, with action targeted in the coming weeks, according to Glorioso 1904.
The board plan to move quickly to review and extend the deals of Anatoliy Trubin, Samuel Soares, Andreas Schjelderup and Gianluca Prestianni.
In goal, both Trubin and Soares are tied to 2028, with their dossiers to be revisited soon. Soares is set to have his status strengthened through an improved salary, while talks continue over Trubin's position.
The most complex case is Norwegian winger Andreas Schjelderup. Benfica have offered terms to 2030 with a substantial pay rise, but the player has so far resisted the proposal.
By contrast, Gianluca Prestianni is in line for a reward for his blistering start to the season. The Argentina international is under contract until 2029, yet the president intends to enhance and protect the young forward's value.
Rui Costa's leadership is driving medium and long-term planning at Seixal, aiming to lock down core talent to fuel bids for many trophies.
