Ryan Reynolds has helped lift Wrexham into the Championship play-offs, nudging his Premier League ambition a little closer.

He and Rob McElhenney bought Wrexham for £2 million in November 2020. The club could climb from non-league to the top flight within five seasons.

Reynolds’ net worth is about $400 million (£295 million). Forbes ranked him second among 2024 earners on £79 million, behind Dwayne Johnson.

He owned up to 20 per cent of Aviation Gin before a $600 million sale in 2020. In 2023, T-Mobile bought Mint Mobile for $1.35 billion, netting him more than $300 million.

The co-owners have injected over £20 million and taken losses of about $12 million since the takeover. Apollo Sports Capital has added almost £50 million, while the Allyn family bought around 15% in 2024.

He married Blake Lively in 2012 and they have four children. Lively has visited Wrexham and posted a tribute after promotion last April. The pair were not close before the bid and first met in April 2021.
