Sabah's opening Champions League encounter was always set to be historic.
The reigning Azerbaijani champions made their foray into Europe's elite club competition with a prestige meeting against Manchester United on Thursday.
Valdas Dambrauskas' side were on the receiving end of a 4-0 hammering at Old Trafford but still managed to etch their name into the tournament's record books.
The Owls fielded a starting line-up made up of 11 different nationalities - a feat which has never been achieved in a club's first-ever game in the Champions League.
Not bad for a team which was only founded nine years ago.
