Sadiq-Ramazani, part eight as Valencia duo reconnect in Orriols | OneFootball

Umar Sadiq and Largie Ramazani rekindled their Almería partnership, both scoring as Valencia won the derby away to Levante in Orriols.

They had long wanted to reunite, their close bond on and off the pitch stretches back to Almería. As reported by AS, a summer reunion did not materialise, then Valencia completed Sadiq's permanent signing in January.

Since then they had been seen more on the bench than together on the grass, but the derby laid bare their understanding, a reminder of Almería.

It was not the first time the pair had both found the net in the same game. The previous occasion came in August 2022 against Sevilla, with Almería back in the top flight, and Sadiq's goal served as his farewell before he signed for Real Sociedad a few days later.

Sadiq totalled 43 goals in 84 Almería appearances, Ramazani scored 22 in 128. Across their Andalusian spell they both scored in seven matches, yielding six wins and one defeat. Their display marked the eighth such outing in their careers.

For some who have played with both, there will be many more parts.
