Ahead of facing PSG this weekend it’s bad news for Saint-Étienne. Les Verts have lost Ghanian midfielder Augustine Boakye for the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery. Manager Erik Horneland announced during his pre-match press conference before ASSE face PSG this weekend, that Boakye “underwent surgery during the international break. He’ll be out for the rest of the season.” It comes as a blow for Sainté, who are still looking to secure their future in Ligue 1 in the final eight games that remain. Les Verts welcome Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday evening, but they’ll be without their midfielder who scored three goals in January to help keep the club in the race to stay up. L’Équipe report that Mickaël Nadé and Aïmen Moueffek are doubts to face Les Parisiens, but New Zealand winger Ben Old has returned to the squad five months following a knee injury. PSG travel to the Stade Geoffroy Guichard with a mathematical possibility of wrapping up the league, depending results elsewhere.GFFN | George Boxall
