Sanches Fernandes strikes twice as Excelsior climb in Eredivisie

Excelsior thrashed Utrecht 5-0 on Sunday at Stadion Woudestein, climbing from 15th to 14th in the Eredivisie.
Noah Naujoks opened the scoring in the 11th minute, turning in Derensili Sanches Fernandes' cross from close range.
Matisse Didden received a second yellow and was sent off (31.).
Sanches Fernandes doubled the lead with a close-range header from Gyan de Regt's cross (36.).
After the restart, Sanches Fernandes swept in his second from Arthur Zagre's pass (55.).
Irakli Yegoian made it four from close range after a VAR review confirmed the goal (69.).
Late on, Yoann Cathline struck the bar for the visitors.
Lennard Hartjes added a fifth in the third minute of second half stoppage time.
Excelsior controlled 59.3% possession and registered nine shots on target. Utrecht managed three efforts on target.
