Eintracht Frankfurt have discussed Sandro Wagner as a possible coaching option during their search for a new manager.

According to Sky Germany, Wagner is among the names considered internally, though the report says there is nothing more to it for now and that a move appears unlikely under normal circumstances.

Wagner has been out of work since a swift dismissal by Augsburg at the start of December.

So far, only the lead involving Marco Rose has taken shape, yet there are internal doubts about the 49-year-old’s suitability.

Rose would also command a fee of 1 million euros because he remains under contract with RB Leipzig.
