Sangante joins Rubén Vargas in the Nervión treatment room | OneFootball

According to La Colina De Nervion, Sevilla host Valencia CF at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Friday with Arouna Sangante suspended and Rubén Vargas still sidelined.

Sangante was sent off at Cornellà against RCD Espanyol. He is also nursing a sprain in his right ankle.

Vargas continues to work away from the group and has external parameniscitis in his right knee. After a summer move to Greek football did not materialise, the Swiss attacker remains a major doubt to face Valencia.

Valencia arrive with significant selection problems and on the back of three straight defeats to Real Betis, RC Deportivo de La Coruña and FC Barcelona.

Among Carlos Corberán’s absentees are José Copete, Justin De Haas, Dimitri Foulquier, Sergi Canós, Luis Rioja, Diego López and Umar Sadiq. Guido Rodríguez is also out, although the Argentine midfielder is working to recover in time after the injury sustained against his former club, Real Betis.

Sevilla’s focus now is to move on from the draw with Espanyol and prepare for a contest in which the points could carry real weight, with fitness updates expected to be watched closely in Nervión.
