Malian international midfielder Mustapha Sangaré, striker for Levski Sofia in Bulgaria, has officially declared his intention to leave the club.
The player now finds himself in a tense standoff with his team following an offer from Espérance de Tunis during the latest summer transfer window.
According to the Bulgarian daily (Sports Zone), Sangaré has informed club management of his desire to take on a new challenge, seeking an amicable agreement to end his contract with Levski Sofia.
Espérance de Tunis tabled a €1.5 million offer to secure the striker's services, but the Bulgarian club categorically refused. In response, Sangaré decided to boycott training ahead of the match against Ludogorets, sparking widespread debate in the media.
Sangaré has played 128 matches across several clubs, including Levski Sofia, Varzim, Racing Club, Amiens and Borgo. He's netted 32 goals and delivered 13 assists.For the Mali national team, he's earned four caps but is yet to score or register an assist.
