Santos have pulled back from selling attacking midfielder Enzo Boer, who will now rejoin the senior squad. According to Diario Do Peixe, the club deemed ZTE’s offer too low as the window shut on Friday 13.
The player had been short of opportunities under coach Vojvoda and was loaned to Santo André for the Paulista A-2, debuting for the Ramalhão. When ZTE of Hungary lodged a proposal this week, his loan was terminated to speed up a permanent move.
The paperwork reportedly sat on president Marcelo Teixeira’s desk in the morning, but the board declined to sign because of the valuation. With no active loan, Boer now stays with the Alvinegro.
Having aged out of the youth ranks after the Copinha, Boer had his deal extended until the end of the year after it was due to expire on 31 January.
He joined Santos’ academy in September 2024 after years with São Paulo from age 11, who opted against renewal. He did not play official tournaments that year and was among Santos’ scorers at the Copa Atlântico Sub-19.
Last year he scored four in 24 matches in the Paulista Sub-20 and added two in 13 in the national under-20 competition. He featured in three Copinha games at the start of this year.
