Santos are expected to keep reshaping their squad in the coming days, with further exits possible and dependent on suitable offers for players outside current plans, according to Globo.com.

The board want to reduce high costs tied to underperforming players, though negotiations are not always simple. Tiquinho, who has a high salary and a contract to the end of 2027, received proposals from Remo and Coritiba but chose not to leave.

Centre-back Alexis Duarte has been made available and may need to find a new club, yet no departure has been completed. With João Basso injured, he could at least return to the bench in upcoming matches.

Others might depart if opportunities arise. Benjamín Rollheiser, signed from Benfica for R$ 65 million on a deal running to 2028, has not performed well and is currently a substitute.

A sale would be considered only if bids are close to last year’s outlay. A key obstacle is that most leading European windows, including Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and England, have already closed.

In Brazil, clubs can do business until 3 March, which ends the first phase of the 2026 window. Since the start of the year, left-back Souza joined Tottenham, forward Guilherme moved to Houston Dynamo, the Algerian Bilal Brahimi went to Estrela da Amadora, and the Paraguayan Gustavo Caballero left for Portsmouth.
