Santos footage shows Gabriel Menino teased for chip in 2-1 win at Remo | OneFootball

Gabriel Menino copped playful dressing-room stick from Santos team-mates after a failed late chip in their 2-1 win over Remo at Mangueirão on Saturday, in the 28th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The club released behind-the-scenes footage on Santos TV showing colleagues ribbing the right-back after the final whistle.

At 52 minutes of the second half, Menino won the ball in midfield, broke into the clear and tried to lift it over goalkeeper Marcelo Rangel, who saved.

Thaciano, Caballero and Rony, along with goalkeeper João Paulo, were among those to call him out in jest, prompting laughter around the dressing room.

Thaciano, with Caballero beside him, told Menino he would have to go through the corridor and scolded him for almost landing the group in trouble.

João Paulo waved a flip-flop as if to slap his team-mate and urged him to just put the chance away, laughing. Rony hugged Menino and advised a finish rather than a chip, demonstrating how he felt it should have been done.
