Cuca has named João Alencar and Gabriel Menino in the Santos squad for the 28th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro away to Remo, scheduled for Saturday at 18:30 Brasília time at Mangueirão.

According to Globo.com, the pair join the group already in Belém, replacing goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão and Willian Arão, who were left out after the Copa Sul-Americana match against Atlético-MG.

Brazão has been dealing with pain in his left shoulder, which worsened after that game, and he will now bring forward surgery that had been planned for the end of the season.

Arão felt pain in his internal oblique muscle, his condition also deteriorated following the match in Minas Gerais, and he returned to the Baixada Santista while the squad continued to Belém.

João Paulo and Diógenes are available in goal. Lucas Veríssimo is likely to regain a starting role.

Menino missed the Atlético-MG fixture because he is on loan to Santos from the Minas Gerais club.

Further absences include Everton Cebolinha, suspended after receiving his third yellow card. Philippe Coutinho continues work at CT Rei Pelé, while Neymar and Barreal remain injured.
