Santos hand Samuel Pierri a new deal, second extension in three months | OneFootball

Santos have extended midfielder Samuel Pierri’s contract for the second time in three months, the new deal runs to 31 July 2031.

According to Diario Do Peixe, he was first tied to April 2027, then to 31 January 2029 with papers signed in May, before another renewal on Friday seven. He has earned senior chances under Cuca’s staff.

Academy staff rate him highly, projecting international-level potential, and he has spent more time with the first team than the U-20s.

Pierri turned 18 in January and is in his first U-20 year. He joined Santos in 2018 aged nine and has been sponsored by Nike since 2021.

He has featured as a No 10 and No eight, even at centre-back, though is primarily a No five. Honours include Paulista U-11 in 2019, Paulista Cup U-12 in 2021, plus Copa Votorantim U-15 and Nike Cup in 2023.
