Santos have rejected a third loan bid from Slovakia’s DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda for Rodrigo Falcão. The club have told his representatives he remains in their plans, although Gabriel Brazão, João Paulo and Diógenes are ahead of him.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the proposal included a pay rise and an option to buy 20% for €500,000. Interest from Portugal and Asia was rejected in January, and two offers from the same side were knocked back in May.
Falcão renewed his contract this year until January 2029, with his previous deal due to expire in October. He started throughout the Copa São Paulo, his final youth tournament after ageing out.
Since then he has trained with the first team but has yet to make his debut. He has been on the bench for four senior matches in the league and the Sudamericana.
Last year he returned from an anterior cruciate ligament injury and a fractured little finger, then shone for the Under-20s in their Paulista title win. He made 18 appearances in the Brasileiro and 17 in the state competition at that level.
In 2024 he was registered on Lista B for the Paulistão and sat on the bench for the first eight rounds. He suffered an ACL and meniscus injury in his left knee in mid February, and at that time turned down an offer from Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia.
Born in 2005 in Santos, he progressed through the club’s futsal and academy pathways and is a lifelong supporter.
