Santos terminate contracts of Emily Apolinário and Kauany Rodrigues | OneFootball

Diario Do Peixe reports that Santos have terminated the contracts of defender Emily Apolinário and forward Kauany Rodrigues, with the cancellations registered in the CBF’s BID on Monday 27.

Both deals had been due to run until December this year, but after each turned 21, exceeding the age limit for the youth set-up and without room in the senior squad, the club opted to rescind.

Emily joined in 2021, playing two games in the Brasileiro Sub-17 the following year. The next season brought two Copinha outings, one goal in three Paulista Sub-20 matches and 10 in the Brasileiro Sub-20.

The year before last she added five Copinha appearances, nine in the Paulista Sub-20 and nine in the Brasileiro Sub-20. Last year she played two in the Copinha, seven in the Paulista Sub-20 and five in the Brasileiro Sub-20. From São Caetano do Sul and initially at Inter de Limeira, she turned 21 in February, did not feature this year and posted a farewell on social media reflecting on her growth and gratitude.

Kauany arrived last year for the Sereinhas, making five Copinha appearances and scoring two in nine Paulista Sub-20 games. With her birthday in June, she was still eligible for one Brasileiro Sub-20 match this year. She also had spells at Sport in 2023 and 2024 and has not commented on social media.
