Santos tie down Vinicius Fabri on long-term deal to 2031 | OneFootball

Santos have finalised a new contract with midfielder Vinicius Fabri, a stand-out at under-20 level, running until 31 July 2031, according to Diario Do Peixe. The deal is already registered on the CBF’s BID.

The 18-year-old, born in 2008, signed at club offices with senior staff present, including president Marcelo Teixeira and academy manager Elano.

Fabri said he was delighted to extend at the club where he grew up, and that any step into the senior side will come through hard work. He trains every day and believes that chance could arrive soon.

Elano said the club want to shape a clear identity from the academy upwards, and that Fabri has met all the team’s attacking metrics since his arrival. The aim is to supply maximum development to the first team.

Talks had stalled for weeks, with his camp holding off amid a lack of first team openings. The board revived discussions last week, outlining a sporting plan and at least involvement in senior training.

Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk had sought clarity on his situation. In 2026 he has eight goals and two assists in 23 Brasileiro under-20 matches, plus two in three in the Paulista.

His previous deal ran to 30 June 2027, and he could have signed a pre-contract at the end of this year, with overseas clubs ready to wait. He debuted for the seniors on 4 July in a 3-0 win over União São João at the Pacaembu, and has not featured since.
