Noureddine Zekri is putting the finishing touches on his return to the Saudi Pro League. The Algerian tactician is set to take charge at Damac.

With Damac searching for a replacement for Armando Evangelista, whose results have been disastrous at the start of this season (1 draw, 3 defeats), the club’s management has set their sights on someone well-versed in Saudi football.

Indeed, Noureddine Zekri arrived in Saudi Arabia overnight, poised to become the head coach of a team still searching for their first victory of the 2025-2026 campaign.

The 60-year-old coach has been a free agent since June 2025, following the end of his spell with Al-Kholood. He has also managed Al-Raed, Al-Fayha, Al-Okhdood, and, notably, Damac from 2019 to 2021.

This marks the return of a man who knows the club inside out and could be the spark to revive the Khamis Mushait-based side, currently 15th in the SPL standings with just a single point.
