Sean Dyche’s Rangers odds of taking over from embattled Rangers manager Russell Martin at Ibrox have shortened in the last few days as the current Gers boss remains under fire after his team’s dire start to the season.

Former Burnley and Everton manager Dyche is now as short as 11/4 with BetVictor to take over at Ibrox, having previously been a 3/1 chance.

Victory

Martin did pick up a victory in his last outing as Rangers beat Livingston 2-1 but he remains under huge pressure after a dismal 2025/26 season so far, last weekend’s victory being his first in the League all season and they are eighth in the Scottish Premiership standings, a whopping nine points behind leaders Hearts and eight being bitter rivals Celtic.

Martin faces a crucial week, with a trip to Sturm Graz in the Europa League on Thursday and then travelling to Falkirk in the league on Sunday. Sean Dyche’s Rangers odds are telling as the current incumbent struggles with the gravity of the job.

Former Gers boss Steven Gerrard continues to be linked with a return to Ibrox and he is second in the betting to take over at 3/1, followed by former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl (5/1) and former Wolves boss Gary O’Neil (6/1).

The growing speculation reflects the uncertainty surrounding Martin’s future, with fans increasingly restless after months of poor displays. The board publicly backs him, yet their silence over the betting frenzy speaks volumes.

Every misstep now fuels the fire, and even victory may not spare him if performances remain unconvincing. Rangers find themselves at a crossroads, and the next fortnight could shape not just Martin’s fate but the club’s direction.

Dyche might be ready to step in….
