Sébastien Pocognoli expects Paul Pogba to be back for AS Monaco before the international break, with the midfielder’s return edging closer.
According to L'Équipe, the Monaco head coach told Friday’s pre-Angers press conference that Pogba’s comeback plan is now fairly clear.
Pogba has been sidelined by a left calf injury after just 30 minutes across three appearances in November and December. The France international has 91 caps and 11 goals.
He resumed club action after a two-year doping suspension on Ligue 1 matchday 13 at Rennes, a 1-4 defeat, playing five minutes. He then had four minutes against PSG, a 1-0 win, and 21 minutes versus Stade Brestois, a 0-1 loss.
He should return to training before the end of March, but is not expected to be back in competitive action before early April.
