As BILD understands, VfB Stuttgart's decision over the goalkeeper position is boiling down to a job-sharing model.
Dennis Seimen, returning from a hamstring injury, will reportedly tend to goalkeeping duties in Stuttgart's Bundesliga fixtures.
Meanwhile, Fabian Bredlow will feature in the DFB-Pokal and possibly in the next Champions League game against Slovan Bratislava.
However, within the club, there's heated debate about whether Seimen is ready or if they should stick with trusting Bredlow for now.
As expected on Thursday, Seimen was back in goals, for the first time since the 7-0 win in the test against TSG Balingen in mid-July.
Playing a friendly game in Aspach, Sebastian Hoeneß' ran out 5-0 winners over Greuther Fürth, with Seimen keeping a clean sheet.
