This is likely to be one of his best birthdays ever. Just weeks after guiding the Senegalese nation to his second Africa Cup of Nations title, Bab Tiwa marks a special day—45 years old, an age of experience and wisdom.
The Senegalese Football Federation paid a special tribute to a man who has become a legend in Senegalese football after the Teranga Lions' triumph in Morocco.
As a player, Bab Tiwa was a runner-up at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations and reached the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup with Senegal.
In his young coaching career, he won the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in 2022 before achieving his major triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on January 18, 2025.
