Acerbi turned 38 in February and will leave Inter once his contract expires on June 30. Matteo Darmian is also out of contract and is expected to leave, although Stefan De Vrij, whose contract is also expiring, has reportedly been offered a new deal.

Despite his age, Acerbi shows no signs of hanging up his boots in the immediate future, and reports on Sunday claim that there could be several opportunities for him to continue playing in the top flight next season.

It has recently been reported that newly-promoted Monza are intrigued by the idea of picking up the Nerazzurri veteran on a free transfer, while La Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa are also keen on the idea of picking up the experienced defender in a low-cost deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that there could also be potential opportunities for Acerbi in the Saudi Pro League, although Sunday’s report does not mention any specific clubs.
