Frosinone made the brighter start and were rewarded midway through the opening half when Raimondo broke the deadlock, rising to meet a cross from Anthony Oyono and directing his header beyond Filip Stankovic.

The hosts continued to look dangerous and doubled their advantage before half-time, with Raimondo again finding the net. This time, Patrizio Masini’s work created the opportunity for the striker to finish from close range and complete his brace.

Venezia went into the interval two goals down but responded positively after the restart, introducing John Yeboah at half-time.

The change quickly paid dividends as Yeboah pulled one back in the 66th minute, cutting inside before finding the far corner with a composed finish to give Venezia renewed hope.

The visitors continued to push for an equaliser, while Frosinone were increasingly forced onto the back foot. Venezia eventually found their reward with 16 minutes remaining when Richie Sagrado levelled the contest from close range after a dangerous move involving Antoine Hainaut.

With the momentum firmly behind Venezia, the hosts needed something to change the flow of the game.

That moment arrived just nine minutes after Sagrado’s equaliser.

Giorgi Kvernadze restored Frosinone’s advantage in the 83rd minute, finding space inside the penalty area and finishing into the bottom corner to make it 3-2.

Venezia had little time to respond but refused to give up, with Frosinone forced to defend their narrow advantage during the closing stages.

The hosts survived the late pressure to secure all three points, with Raimondo’s first-half brace ultimately providing the platform for a dramatic victory.

Venezia’s comeback had threatened to earn them a share of the spoils after Yeboah and Sagrado overturned Frosinone’s two-goal lead, but Kvernadze’s late intervention ensured the visitors left empty-handed.

The 3-2 result sees Frosinone claim a valuable victory after a match that appeared firmly in their control at half-time before Venezia transformed the contest after the break.
