Serie A official line-ups: Genoa vs. Napoli

Max Allegri’s Napoli make their debut with Scott McTominay, Rasmus Hojlund and Alisson Santos, but Kevin De Bruyne is benched, while Genoa start Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

It kicks off at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, also known as Marassi, at 19.45 UK time (20.45 CEST).

Napoli won the Scudetto and then secured second place under Antonio Conte, but he walked away this summer, replaced by former Milan boss Allegri.

Alessandro Buongiorno and Luca Marianucci are long-term absentees, with David Neres and Pasquale Mazzocchi not fully fit either.

De Bruyne is being eased into the campaign after his World Cup experience with Belgium, so Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa takes over in midfield.

Alisson Santos and Matteo Politano flank Hojlund in a 4-3-3 formation, with McTominay and Stanislav Lobotka in support.

As Benoit Badiashile has not yet completed the transfer from Napoli, it is Rafa Marin in defence with Amir Rrahmani.

Genoa have a lengthy list of problems for coach Daniele De Rossi to deal with, including injuries to Hamed Traore, Lorenzo Venturino and Elias Havel, while Franz-Ethan Meichtry is only fit for the bench.

Their season already began with a 4-1 Coppa Italia victory over Ascoli last week.

Despite all the transfer speculation, Norton-Cuffy remains part of the side and starts out wide, with Djibril Sow on the bench.

Tommaso Baldanzi and Vitinha are back-up for centre-forward Lorenzo Colombo.
