Olympique Lyonnais still need to raise through player sales. The club’s top-flight status was secured on appeal after the DNCG, French football’s financial watchdog, initially administratively relegated them to Ligue 2.
There have been sales, too, with Rayan Cherki and Lucas Perri, now at Manchester City and Leeds United respectively, making big-money moves away. However, that will not suffice for the DNCG, and so Lyon are obliged to make more sales. Another €40m is needed, which is the exact value of Malick Fofana. However, for now, only Everton have met OL’s asking price and the Belgian has refused to join the Toffees.
Another candidate to leave is Enzo Molebe (17). The OL academy product had been backed to get more game time this season, following the departure of fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette.
However, Molebe could instead be set for a departure. As per RMC Sport, Sevilla are in talks to sign the centre-forward. The fee being touted is between €5-10m.
