Six Gones at Limonest as Zeffane on trial at GOAL FC in N1 | OneFootball

According to Le Progres, former OL players will be out in force in National 1, with Limonest featuring six of the 25 OL-trained footballers at this level, while Zeffane is on trial at GOAL FC.

The fourth tier kicks off on Friday 21 August, with Limonest to the fore.

OL’s academy is built to supply the first team, and last season proved especially fruitful in straitened times, with, among others, Merah, Himbert, Hamdani, Kango and De Carvalho.

It also produces a significant number of players for the wider professional game and for the lower divisions.

For 2026-27, more than 20 alumni of Tola Vologe or OL’s academy in Meyzieu will feature across the three National 1 groups, a competition renamed after the creation of Ligue 3.
