Sunday's Premier League clash between Burnley and Liverpool provided something you don't see every day.
With the game deadlocked 0-0, Arne Slot's side are trying to do everything they can to break down a very compact defence from the hosts at Turf Moor.
So, wanting to use some trickery, it seems, defender Milos Kerkez opted to take matters into his own hands. Until it backfired.
The Hungarian dove in the penalty box around the 21-minute mark and was instantly handed a yellow card by referee Michael Oliver for simulation, to which opposition fans loved.
The Burnley crowd and the players then continued to jeer and pressure Kerkez, causing him to find himself in touchy situations as the match neared halftime.
Slot subsequently saw into the future, and the potential red card coming. So after only 36 minutes in the game he decided to haul Kerkez off for Andy Robertson.
Talk about creating your own downfall.
