At 16, Cooper will become the youngest player to take part when he turns out for England against the Soccer Aid World XI FC. He said he was incredibly proud to be involved, called himself a big fan and was excited to support a cause that helps children grow up safe, healthy and able to play.

Returning for England are Jill Scott, Paddy McGuinness, Olly Murs and Tom Hiddleston, alongside Tom Grennan and Sam Thompson. The World XI includes Usain Bolt, Maisie Adam, Big Zuu, Richard Gadd and Alex Brooker.

Co-founder Robbie Williams will return to the pitch and form part of England’s management team. Since the match began in 2006, England have won six times and the World XI eight.

Dermot O’Leary will host, with Alex Scott, and Sam Matterface returns as commentator. Live coverage will be on ITV1, STV and ITVX.

England will wear a replica of the white 1966 home kit to mark 60 years since the World Cup win, while the World XI will have a bespoke Adidas strip. More participants and a 20th anniversary half-time show will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
