Some Rangers fans are saying something shocking about Russell Martin | OneFootball

Ibrox Noise has noticed a worrying rise in a new trend from some Rangers fans. A trend which began after the Hibs win of Rangers fans accepting fate.

Now, we have covered this topic already, but the increase of it the past few days is concerning.

It’s the all-new ‘give it a rest’ brigade, to replace the ‘give him a chance’ brigade.

Gaslit

In short, a growing subset of Rangers fans have been gaslit by this regime into accepting the club’s fate. Into accepting Russell Martin as manager. Now they yell ‘support the team and manager’ again feeling as if there’s now no other choice.

Unfortunately they preach this ditty to other fans who refuse to support this manager and silence any notions of Martin Out.

We respect fans and their views, even if we are aware they are frequently misguided, but we find many fans refuse to return the courtesy.

Rubbish

Said one fan today responding to the sentiments of this article:

This is the mentality from some quarters, to shut down and silence the protest and demand the fans just follow on.

And this ‘give it a rest’ crew are now formally in acceptance of what ‘is’.

If this fan type grows in number, not only are Rangers doomed on the pitch, which we currently are, we’re doomed off it too.

The day Rangers fans accept a relegation battle is a day we really are not Rangers any more.
