Southampton’s FA Cup tie at Doncaster set for three pm on January 10 | OneFootball

Southampton will travel to Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup third round, with kick-off at three pm on Saturday, January 10. According to Daily Echo, the tie will be played at the Eco-Power Stadium.

It will be the clubs’ first FA Cup meeting and Southampton’s first trip to the Eco-Power Stadium since the 2011/12 Championship season.

The match was not among the 22 fixtures selected for television coverage. Ticket information will be confirmed on Tuesday, December 16, with the initial sales window opening from Thursday, 18.

Unlike previous years, there are no FA Cup replays if matches end level. All ties will go to extra time and, if needed, penalties.

Doncaster, led by former Southampton striker Billy Sharp, sit 20th in League One, just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

Southampton enter the competition at this stage, while Doncaster beat Chesterfield 2-1 in the second round and Crewe Alexandra 2-1 in the first round.
