Spain and England given clear signal over Harry Kane contract talks | OneFootball

Harry Kane and his camp are not exploring potential options in the market in the event he doesn’t extend his contract with Bayern Munich.

The England international has been persistently linked with moves outside of Germany, with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United floated as potential destinations.

The former Tottenham striker’s current contract is set to run until the summer of 2027.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Kane and his camp have not been keeping as completely narrow a focus on contract talks with Bayern as previously noted. This said, it has been acknowledged that Bayern view the matter as when, rather than if, the England international puts pen to paper on fresh terms.

However, the report goes on to suggest that while the English superstar was allegedly in contact with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal during the last transfer window, his focus now appears to be shifting towards Spain and England.

There remains near-total confidence from all sides that the ex-Premier League star will sign a contract extension before the turn of the year.

So, bad news for Manchester United, bad news for FC Barcelona, bad news for the Saudi Pro League, and bad news for any potential suitor hovering around Kane.

The only key question or point of debate that remains is just how long the centre-forward will commit to FC Bayern. At present, the expectation is that Harry Kane will sign a minimum two-year extension, which would keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2029.

In the meantime, there is no panic. Certainly, the player himself has already made it perfectly clear that neither he nor his camp are agitating for a move away from Munich amid ongoing contract talks with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
