Juventus spent a large part of their summer transfer window trying to arrange a deal for Randal Kolo Muani to become a member of their squad.

He was supposed to return last term, but the clubs could not agree a deal, and it still took some time before they could reach an agreement with PSG for his transfer.

Kolo Muani is now in Turin, but the club’s manager does not want him to carry the entire attacking burden alone and wants to find support for the Frenchman.

Manager Explains Need for Another Striker

The manager believes the additional option could be particularly valuable late in matches, when Juventus need a different approach to break down opponents.

He said via the report: “The striker we’re looking for could be someone with different characteristics because there are games that are played in the last twenty minutes and it’s easier to score if the others close down.”

The comments underline why Juventus are still considering another attacking addition despite finally securing Kolo Muani. The club want to ensure that the Frenchman is not solely responsible for providing goals and creating danger in attack.

A different type of striker could therefore give Juventus another way to approach matches, particularly during the final stages when opponents are defending more deeply.

Kolo Muani remains an important part of the team, but the manager’s comments make it clear that Juventus want more attacking options around him.
