ANALYSIS AND AWARENESS: THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

"We acknowledge the latest results and now we have to decide what to do about them and how to react: it is our awareness of the team's strength that will tell us how things will turn out. We need to analyse the situation correctly and objectively, using this pain as a springboard to propel us upwards again. I spoke of three steps back after the match in Istanbul against Galatasaray. We discussed this with the players in a meeting, and I hope that these three steps back will serve as a running start to give us more momentum and a great reaction in the upcoming challenges."

INDIVIDUALS

"For Kalulu, it's a necessary gesture on the part of the club in the face of two obvious injustices, which we have been forced to take note of. Bremer will definitely not be playing. David, on the other hand, will be called up even though it is not certain that he will be able to play the whole match. As for Locatelli and McKennie (both on yellow cards), Manuel does not seem tired to me because he is always present, both physically and mentally, and it will be difficult to do without McKennie. Kalulu's suspension and the injuries to Holm and Bremer mean we have to grit our teeth and get on with it. McKennie is an extremely useful player for us. We all have responsibilities, Di Gregorio has no more than the others, so we will continue with him as our starting goalkeeper.

COMO

"Como is a strong team that knows how to put their coach's teachings into practice. Fabregas is talented, and since his arrival, he has sought to instil in his team the characteristics that made him such a complete player, capable of doing everything and always eager to control the game. I think he is one of the best coaches in Italy at the moment, and I know how he works because when I was coaching the national team, I went to see how Como worked on the pitch during the week."
