Spanish defender Óscar Mingueza joins Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Óscar Mingueza on a contract until the end of the 2029/30 season.

The versatile player has joined the club on a free transfer after four seasons with Celta de Vigo in which he played 147 times for the club, scoring seven times and making 15 assists. Before that, Mingueza had come through the academy at Barcelona, featuring for the first season from 2020 to 2022.

"We are delighted to welcome a player of Óscar's quality and character to the club," Steve Parish said about the player's arrival on a four-year deal.

"His track record speaks for itself, with experience at the highest level for both club and country.

"We believe he will be a fantastic fit for Crystal Palace."

Mingueza has become the first signing for the Eagles since the arrival of manager Pierre Sage.
