Sporting Kansas City acquire Ruben Ramos Jr. from LA Galaxy | OneFootball

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan

Sporting Kansas City have acquired forward Ruben Ramos Jr. on loan from the LA Galaxy through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, the clubs announced Thursday.

In exchange for the 19-year-old US youth international, LA receive up to $125,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) – with $75k guaranteed and $50k conditional.

Additionally, the deal includes a trade option for Sporting KC.

Ramos Jr. has scored one goal in 18 appearances for LA since signing a homegrown deal in 2024. He's tallied 16 goals in 50 matches for Ventura County FC, the club's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate.

At youth international level, Ramos Jr. has represented the US from the U-15 to U-20 levels. He recently helped the US qualify for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

“Ruben is a regular with the US youth national teams and has been one of the top performers in MLS NEXT Pro for several years, showing valuable versatility in attacking areas with excellent technical ability and a nose for goal," said David Lee, Sporting KC's president of soccer operations & general manager.
