Spurs sign former Southampton full-back Morris | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of former Southampton full-back Ella Morris on a three-year deal.

The Lilywhites announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Morris joins Spurs following the expiry of her contract at former club Southampton.

The 21-year-old has spent the last seven years with Southampton. She has helped the club climb up the footballing pyramid to elite game level. Morris has made 41 appearances for The Saints in the Barclays Women’s Championship over the course of the last two seasons in which she has scored four goals.

Morris primarily operates at right-back, however, she is comfortable attacking down the wing and could play higher if required. It has not been uncommon to see the player deliver crosses or enter the opposition box. Morris has been one of the most exciting young talents in the Barclays Women’s Championship in the last couple of years.

On the international stage, Morris has represented England up to and including Under-23 level. She will now be aiming to push for senior honours by impressing at new club Spurs.

Morris becomes Spurs’ second signing of the summer transfer window following the recent addition of Swedish international defender Amanda Nildén.
