The SPFL today confirmed a number of Scottish Premiership fixture updates due to matches being selected for TV broadcasting in the coming months.

The games involving Celtic are as follows:

Saturday 22 November – Scottish Premiership St Mirren v Celtic – Live on Sky Sports, kick-off 8.00pm

Sunday 30 November – Scottish Premiership Hibernian v Celtic – Live on Sky Sports, kick-off 12 noon

Wednesday 17 December – Scottish Premiership Dundee United v Celtic Live on Sky Sports, kick-off 8.00pm (Postponed on Saturday 1 November due to Premier Sports Cup semi-finals)

St Mirren away with an 8pm Saturday night kick-off is interesting to say the least. Expect that one to never noisy.

Meanwhile earlier today Celtic released some footage of Alistair Johnston heading on to the training pitch at Lennoxtown which is excellent news as we await the return to action this week at Dens Park against Dundee.

Anthony Ralston started at Hampden past night against Belarus in the World Cup qualifying win and is likely to start for Celtic at Dens Park as it’s probably going to be too early for Alistair Johnston, who may be on the bench.

More Ballot Blues from the Celtic Ticket Office

Meanwhile emails are out from Celtic for those ‘lucky’ supporters who will be able to purchase a ticket for the Premier Sports League Cup semi-final against theRangers. With many Celtic fans opting out of the HCTS the chances of the unluckier supporters who remained seemed to increase, but it’s the hope that kills you.

Perhaps Celtic could COMMUNICATE how they handle these ballots and why there’s not any system in place to ensure that everyone on the HCTS gets their turn to attend matches?

The best example of this was after the COVID season when smaller numbers were allowed in to the first few games and mostly the same folk got tickets to these games while the rest got a big fat zero from each ballot, after paying their season ticket for the previous season and without attending any games.

Some even decided against taking a refund from the matches they’d paid for in the previous season that was curtailed due to the panics. More fools them!

Maybe Michael Nicholson could explain how that’s world class balloting to the supporters who never seem to get any ‘luck’ from the Celtic ticket office when it comes to getting tickets for Hampden. Whatever is wrong with fairness, Michael?
