There was some fallout after the USAâs win over Morocco, and a major transfer development in Chicago. Check it all out below.
USA menâs national team captain Christian Pulisic voiced his displeasure that the Stars and Stripes did not get the support they deserved during Wednesdayâ 3-0 friendly win over Morocco in Cincinnati.
The Chelsea playmaker was upset both that there were up to 6,000 empty seats at TQL Stadium, and that a sizeable portion of the crowd was there to cheer on the North African visitors.
His comments prompted plenty of reaction, with some observers critical of his opinion.
But the vast majority of social media buzz focused on the USSF, with the federation slammed for routinely choosing smaller venues and charging through the nose for tickets.
As the great Celtic manager Jock Stein famously said, football without fans is nothing.
Chicago Fireâs young goalkeeper Gabriel âGagaâ Slonina is a hot property, with several European clubs chasing his signature.
Top of the line are Real Madrid, and the Champions League winners have reportedly gone as far as making an offer for the 18-year-old.
The teenager, understandably, has made no secret of his desire to move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
However he is under contract until December 2023, and the Fire are well within their rights to demand top dollar from Los Blancos. Itâs likely a matter of when, not if, this deal gets over the line.
Heâs only gone and done it again!
RaĂșl RuidĂaz has been awarded MLS Week 14 Goal of the Week for this wicked effort that gave Seattle Sounders all three points against Charlotte on Sunday.
The Peru international had also picked up the award for Week 12 when he was on the end of a 22-pass move to score the only goal in Rave Greenâs win at Houston Dynamo.
Sticking with the Emerald City outfit, we take the opportunity to remember their outstanding âPacific Blueâ strip.
The Sounders are generally reliable when it comes to their clobber, but this was a cut above.
As fresh as the fish they sell in Pike Place!
