Celtic target Calvin Stengs has completed his medical with newly promoted Serie A side Pisa and is ready to complete the transfer on loan with option to buy for a reported €5m fee from Feyenoord.
This was a somewhat surprising swoop from the club, especially as he had been on the verge of a move to Celtic instead.
The 26-year-old has eight senior caps for the Netherlands and can play in a variety of roles, including wide right of the attack and as a trequartista behind the striker.
There might also be add-ons, with the cost of the loan too taking the total fee to around €7m.

His contract with Feyenoord runs to June 2027, allowing Pisa to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
A product of the AZ Alkmaar academy, Stengs had gone to France for OGC Nice and Belgium with Royal Antwerp before returning home with Feyenoord in 2023.
This is not the first time that he has been close to a Serie A experience, as last year he was heavily linked with Milan and Lazio.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com report that Pisa are also close to Flamengo creative midfielder Lorran.
An agreement is said to be close for a loan at €500,000 and option to buy for a further €4m, giving Flamengo a 50 per cent cut of the sell-on fee.
