Steve Cooper is under scrutiny at Brondby after a six-match league run without a win and a goalless home draw with Sonderjyske that has prompted questions over his position.

Brondby are third in the Danish Superliga, 14 points off leaders AGF and eight behind FC Midtjylland, with their last league victory coming in November.

Cooper was appointed in September in a surprise move, and with the title seemingly out of reach his future is being questioned.

“I think we have some pretty strong question marks next to these recruitment errors, which we must see as existing for now,” said Peter Sorensen in an interview with Tipsbladet.

“The players don't seem to be the right ones. Does the sports director seem to be the right one? He certainly hasn't convinced me of that. Does the coach [Cooper] seem to be the right one? I can't see where they are going. There is no recognition in the way they play.”

Cooper previously spent five months in charge of Leicester after replacing Enzo Maresca in the summer of 2024, lasting 15 matches before leaving in November that year. He earlier managed Nottingham Forest, guiding them to promotion before his exit in December 2023.
