Dylan Tait doubled the advantage from close range after a corner (28.), before Stewart glanced in Coll Donaldson's nodded pass for the third (36.). Greg Kiltie pulled one back with a low strike from outside the box (40.).

After the restart, Stewart turned in Calvin Miller's cross at the back post (50.). Tait then rifled in from range on the break to cap the scoring (56.).

Kelle Roos produced several smart stops, twice denying Stewart with headers before the interval, to limit further damage.

The Bairns also struck the woodwork through Ben Broggio and Finn Yeats. They registered 20 attempts with 10 on target. Kilmarnock managed six attempts and two corners.

Next, the Bairns host Dundee United in the Scottish Cup. Kilmarnock welcome Hearts in the league.
