Stuttgart ‘close to signing’ Racing Santander striker Jeremy Arévalo

VfB Stuttgart are reported to be closing in on Racing Santander striker Jeremy Arévalo as they seek to bolster their attack in the winter window.

Bild and Sky Germany report that an agreement is near for the 20-year-old Ecuador international.

Sky Germany adds that his contract contains a release clause of €seven million, which must be activated by the player himself.

If everything goes to plan, the striker is expected to undergo a medical by Monday at the latest.

Arévalo has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Racing Santander in Spain’s second division this season.
