Stuttgart confirm Zagadou suffers hamstring injury

VfB Stuttgart and Dan-Axel Zagadou continue their luckless collaboration with the latest injury forcing the player to take another break.

According to an official Stuttgart statement, the center-back suffered a hamstring injury in their 3-1 friendly victory against Everton.

The 27-year-old will therefore be sidelined for the next few weeks and will likely be unavailable for the Bundesliga's grand return.

Zagadou, regularly plagued by setbacks since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, made only eight appearances last season.

Nevertheless, VfB Stuttgart extended the left-footed player's contract by one year until 2027 at the beginning of July.
