Stuttgart set to announce new deal for club boss

VfB Stuttgart are expected to announce a contract extension for sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth in the near future.

According to Bild, the 47-year-old has extended his contract, which was due to expire in 2027, by a further two years until 2029.

Wohlgemuth will receive a salary increase as part of the new deal, which does not include a release clause.

Having worked for Stuttgart since 2022, Wohlgemuth has played a key role in the club’s impressive rise in recent years

Last season, Stuttgart finished fourth in the Bundesliga and reached the DFB-Pokal final, where they lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich.
