According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland’s deadline-day move for Malick Fofana faces a late hijack from Crystal Palace, with a decision anticipated soon.

The Black Cats had earlier agreed a fee with Olympique Lyonnais and the Belgian international was cleared to travel for a medical.
