According to Foot Mercato, Sunderland have had a bid for Igor Paixão rejected by Marseille, and discussions between the clubs are ongoing.

La Provence reports there have been multiple offers, with the latest understood to be worth 30m.

Marseille want to keep Paixão, but their finances mean they are in no position to refuse a strong offer, only a year on from his arrival.
